Kick Off Your Week With Extra Cardio

If you want to tone your legs and lose inner fat, you need to crank up the cardio! Cardio’s not your thing? That’s ok because making it fun is key. Say goodbye to long treadmill runs, and say hello to mixing up your cardio with rowing, climbing up hills outdoors, sprinting, cycling and hiking. Full body workouts are a great way to tone and slim your legs down at once, so incorporate dozens of squats and kettlebell swings. End a few workouts each week with curtsy lunges and planks. The payoff is worth the burn!

Do a Buddy ‘Conditioning’ Workout

Slimming and toning your thighs is a process, but when you work out with a buddy, you’ll accomplish your goal in record time! Do a variety of exercises, and motivate each other along the way, like using a 12-pound weighted ball that you toss back and forth (squatting as you catch and release!) Challenge each other with a chin-up or push-up contest. Head outdoors and kayak or row for a few hours, doing intervals of ‘speed rowing’. Working out has never been so fun!

Eat Often

Achieving toned, slim legs isn’t just about working out, but eating right. As they say, “You can’t outwork a bad diet!” Staying on track with a healthy diet begins with the most important meal of the day—breakfast! Portion out your carbs, fat and protein so you can rev up your metabolism for all-day success. Fix egg scramble cups the night before, or load up your oatmeal with flax seeds, sunflower seeds and honey. Throughout your day, eat often so you’re never tempted to overeat at dinner. Commit to a mid-morning snack, a fiber and protein packed lunch, a mid-afternoon snack and a low-carb dinner.
